Abstract

“Pleng Rueng Nang Hong” Arrangement by Khru Wiboontham Pianpong. The purpose of this research is to: (1) examine the history of and background Khru Wibootham Pianpong, and (2) to examine the method of “Pleng Rueng Nang Hong” arrangement by Khru Wiboontham Pianpong. This research is based on compiling related academic research materials and interviews with Khru Wibootham Pianpong.


The results of the study can be summarized as follows: Khru Wibootham Pianpong was born on August 4, 1958. the family home was located at 59 Moo 3 Chao Chet, Sena, in the Ayutthaya province. He is the eleventh of twelve brothers and the child of Mr. Pin Pianpong and Mrs. Sod Pianpong. In 2003, he married. Sirima Pianpong and the couple had one child, Theratham Pianpong. They currently reside at 24/35, Lat Pla Khao road, Soi Sena, Phahonyothin, Chatuchak, Bangkok. Khru Wibootham Pianpong First started to play Thai music based on the Fluence of his father and brother. Then he moved to the band of Khun Phad Karnkunee at Wat Makok to study Thai music with Khru Pramual Attachep, Lt. he Col. Sanoh Luangsoonthorn, Khru Supoj Tosa-nga and Khru Pring Dontreerod. In 1975, moved to the house of Mr. Jongkon Pianpong, his brother, at Victory Monument to study Thai music with Khru Sompob Kramprasert, Khru Paitoon Cheyjaroen and Khru Saman Noinid. In 1991, he became a member of the Fong-naam band and studied musical
repertoires, including traditional songs and contemporary Music with Khru Boonyong Ketkong and Ajan Bruce Gaston. From the study of the “Pleng Rueng Nang Hong” arrangement by Khru Wiboontham Pianpong, it was found that it consists of eleven songs with the new knowledge in ‘Pleng Rueng Nang Hong’ arrangement of his form included in the following: three concepts. ; (1) The Pleng Rueng Nang Hong arrangement inspired Buddhist teachers of Thai music; (2) Pleng Rueng Nang Hong music composition by hand khong and similar main intonation; (3) the tone of song, the base of the song and the meaning of the main song or in the song was played in the first place. Nang Hong song can be divided into five sections of Khru Wibootham Pianpong. The cadence and melodic pattern of the Nang Hong song was related in three cases, and new knowledge about Nathab Klong Malayu was played in Nang Hong song of Khru Wibootham Pianpong.
