DEVELOPMENT OF SERVICE EFFECTIVENESS FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY IN BANGKOK

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to (1) study the effectiveness of service, (2) study the factors affecting the effectiveness of service and (3) advise the development of service effectiveness for graduate students of Rajabhat Universities in Bangkok. This research was a mixed method of quantitative and qualitative research. The population was 2,878 graduate students in Rajabhat Universities and samples were 351 students by Taro Yamane formulation with 95 confidence level. The important informants were the Graduate school administrators: of Rajabhat Universities in Bangkok. The research instruments were questionnaires and in-depth interview. Statistics used for quantitative analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and multiple regression. Inductive data analysis methods was used for qualitative analysis, to find common conclusions,.

            The results of the study were as follows: (1) the level of service level effectiveness for graduate students of Rajabhat Universities in Bangkok overall, was at a high level (2) factor affecting of service effectiveness for graduate students of Rajabhat Universities in Bangkok, were Management factors and the factors of student participation, and (3) Guidelines for Developing Service Effectiveness for Graduate Students of Rajabhat Universities in Bangkok, were 4 major dimensions as follows 3.1) The effectiveness of the plan was that the graduate student should improve the skills of the personnel to support the service, planning to improve the coordination of services to achieve rapid. 3.2) In terms of quality of service, graduate students should be trained to develop their mental faculties to be compassionate, sympathetic to others, volunteerism 3.3) The efficiency of government service should be considered as a one stop service. 3.4) The development dimension of the organization, including the Graduate School, should have a consistent budget plan and reflect the strategic plan and Organization Vision, in order to have enough budget to perform various tasks.
