Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the effects of Using Phonics-based Reading Instructional Packages on Reading Competencies of learning disability in dyslexia in grade 5 students in Kasetsart University Laboratory School Center for Educational Research and Development in semester 2, 2016. Two students reading with learning disabilities were purposively selected. The research instruments for data
collection of this research were reading competencies pre-tests, post-tests and 26 tests of using phonics-based reading instructional packages on reading competencies. The data was analyzed by the content and the frequency.
The research findings indicated that the effects of using phonics-based reading instructional packages on reading competencies. The first and second student had score reading competencies in pre–test at 10% and 16.67% respectively. The test of using Phonics-based reading instructional packages on reading competencies of all two students trough the evaluation criteria at 100% and the post-test scores reading
competencies of all two students at 100%. showed that higher reading competencies of all two students.
