As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal. Community University Engagement Journal (CUE-J) follows a double-blind review process. However, authors are required to include their names and affiliations in their manuscripts, whereas reviewers are not visible to authors.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Guidelines, which is found in Information for Authors.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice or Microsoft Word document file format.

Manuscripts of a maximum length of 12 pages and no longer than 4,500 words should be submitted. This is a strict limit for submission. Note that authors should include figures, and tables embedded directly within the text of the paper submitted for review. This will assist with the reviewing process. CUE-J follows a double-blind review process. Authors are required to include their names and affiliations in their papers, whereas reviewers are not visible to authors.

Please prepare your paper in the CUE-J format using the MS-Word template that can be downloaded here
