Abstract

This research aimed to (1) survey problems and needs of computer asset and peripheral inspections, (2) development the computer asset and peripheral inspection system using QR code based on system development life cycle, and (3) evaluate the efficiency and users satisfaction of the developed system based on DeLone and McLean (D&M) model. The samples under this research were divided into 3 groups. These group were (1) a group of 30 officers who worked on computer asset and peripheral inspections, (2) a group of 5 personnel with development system expertise, and (3) a group of 30 users. The results showed that the developed computer asset and peripheral inspection system using QR code was consisted of 6 modules, which were (1) authentication and authorization, (2) user management, (3) assets and peripherals management, (4) QR code generator, (5) asset and peripheral inspection, and (6) reports. In surveying the processes problems and needs, the officers who worked on computer asset and peripheral inspections. The results found that the overall problems were in high level with 4.39 in average and the overall needs were also in high level with 4.22 in average. The problem with highest level was the complexity in inspection of numerous computers and peripherals and the needs with highest level was the simplicity in inspection. The efficiency and users satisfaction of the development of a quick response code system for computer and peripheral inspections by specialists was in high level with 4.49 in average and the satisfaction of the user was in highest level with 4.53 in average.
