Abstract

This purposes of this research 1) to develop a training course to enhance the teacher’s research in the classroom at Satuk Industrial and Community Education College in Buriram.  2) Study the effects of the training course to enhance the teacher’s research in the classroom at Satuk Industrial and Community Education College in Buriram.  The research is to be conducted using the following four steps : Step 1: to develop a training course. Researchers have created a training course to enhance the teacher’s research in the classroom consisting of five units. The researcher invited 10 experts to assess the suitability of the course, assess the consistency between the various elements of the course and assess the accuracy of the contents and methods of the training of the course. Step 2: The trial uses the training course for testing the hypothesis of the research. The researchers developed a course and adjusted and improved it following the recommendations of experts and then used it on fifteen teachers from Satuk Industrial and Community Education College, who attended this experiment voluntarily to test knowledge, understanding and attitude towards research in the classroom by testing before training and after training to evaluate the research in the classroom. The data was analyzed using the test results of the attitude towards research before and after training, comparing tests using (The Sign Test). Step 3:  Follow up training one month after the training course. The researcher and the Faculty of Lecturers were tested in their knowledge, understanding of research and measured their attitude towards research in the classroom. Three department heads and three Colleagues of those who trained were interviewed. Also the research results of the trained person were checked. The knowledge, understanding of research and measurement attitude towards research in the classroom was tested to compare with the test results after training using(The Sign Test). Step 4: To improve the training course. Researchers adjusted and improved the training courses based on the evaluation of satisfaction with the training, assessment of knowledge, understanding of research in a classroom of trained teachers, the attitudes towards research and research results of the trained teachers, and then bring this information to make improvements to a complete training course.

The results of the research found that:

  1. The training course has seven main elements. 1) Principle and Rationale of training. 2) Training Objectives. 3) Course Structure. 4) Content and time. 5) Training Methods. 6) Media materials and equipment used in training. 7) The measurement and evaluation comprised of six Learning units. 1) Teachers and classroom research. 2) Problem analysis in the classroom. 3) Solving problems in the classroom using innovation. 4) Data collection in the classroom. 5) Data analysis in the classroom. 6) Writing a research report in the classroom.

  2. The effects of the training course.
    1) The research in the classroom after training showed that the trained teachers using their knowledge and understanding had a higher result than before training to a statistically significant level at .01
    2) The trained teacher’s good attitude towards research after the training was higher than before training to a statistical level at 01.
    3) The trained teachers have completed 15 research subjects on schedule in the classroom. 9 researches were very good level being 60.00 percent and 6 researches were good level being 40.00 percent.
