As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Submission and Processing of Manuscripts:

  1. The journal accepts research papers, academic review articles, and book reviews in English language.

  2. The submitted manuscripts should be in the fields of behavioural sciences and humanities, with a focus on human behaviour and research through an interdisciplinary approach. The paper should clearly highlight the application of this research.

  3. A cover letter must be submitted along with the manuscript, specifying the title of the manuscript, author’s name, email contact and official address.

  4. The submission must be an original work, which has not been published previously.

  5. Each submitted work would undergo a process of editorial and peer review. The author is expected to review and edit their submission based on the suggestions of the editorial team.

  6. Previous to the acceptance given to an author for final publishing, each manuscript submitted for the IJBS must have been considered and accepted by at least 2 peer reviewers. Blind peer review is done by two experts in related fields. Final paper is also reviewed by the editorial team of IJBS.

  7. Before the submitted manuscript is sent for peer review, the authors need to pay handling fee for publishing with the IJBS. The payment amount (applicable as per the BSRI guidelines) and the payment policy letter would be sent to the author once your submission gets initial acceptance by the IJBS editorial team.
