Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-16-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

Author Guidelines

     ต้นฉบับที่ส่งมาเพื่อรับการพิจารณาต้องไม่เคยตีพิมพ์ในที่ใดมาก่อน หรืออยู่ในระหว่างการรอตีพิมพ์ในวารสารอื่น บทความที่ลงตีพิมพ์ในวารสารฉบับนี้แล้วถือเป็นลิขสิทธิ์ของวารสารสมาคมจิตแพทย์ฯ แต่เพียงผู้เดียว การตีพิมพ์ซ้ำในที่อื่นต้องได้รับอนุญาตจากวารสารสมาคมจิตแพทย์ฯ ก่อน

     ต้นฉบับที่ส่งมาจะได้รับการตรวจทบทวนโดยผู้ที่กองบรรณาธิการเห็นว่าทรงคุณวุฒิในด้านนั้นอย่างน้อย 2 ท่าน และตรวจสอบความถูกต้องทางการคำนวณทางสถิติ 1 ท่าน กองบรรณาธิการจะส่งข้อคิดเห็นตลอดจนข้อเสนอแนะของผู้ทบทวนไปเพื่อให้ผู้นิพนธ์พิจารณาปรับปรุงแก้ไข

    ประเภทของบทความที่รับตีพิมพ์ แบ่งเป็น 6 ชนิด ได้แก่

  1. นิพนธ์ต้นฉบับ (Original articles) เป็นรายงานเกี่ยวกับผลการวิจัย
  2. รายงานผู้ป่วย(Case report) เป็นรายงานเกี่ยวกับผู้ป่วยที่ไม่เคยมีรายงานมาก่อนหรือมีรายงานน้อย รายชื่อเรื่องควรต่อท้ายด้วย: “รายงานผู้ป่วย”
  3. บทความฟื้นฟูวิชาการ (Review articles) เป็นการรวบรวมผลงานเกี่ยวกับเรื่องใดเรื่องหนึ่งโดยเฉพาะ โดยผู้นิพนธ์ได้มีการศึกษาในเรื่องนี้มาอย่างกว้างขวาง มีการนำเรื่องมาวิเคราะห์และเปรียบเทียบกัน เป็นองค์ความรู้ใหม่พร้อมข้อเสนอแนะ
  4. บทความพิเศษ(Special articles) ผู้เขียนเป็นผู้ที่มีประสบการณ์ในทางใดทางหนึ่ง และใช้ประสบการณ์นี้เขียนแสดงความคิดเห็นในแง่ใดแง่หนึ่งในเรื่องนั้น โดยกองบรรณาธิการขอสงวนลิขสิทธิ์ในการกำหนดผู้นิพนธ์
  5. จดหมายถึงบรรณาธิการ(Letter to editor) จดหมายที่เขียนเกี่ยวข้องกับบทความที่ได้ลงตีพิมพ์ไปแล้ว หรือนำเสนอผลงานทางวิชาการที่ต้องการเผยแพร่อย่างย่อ
  6. ปกิณกะ (Miscellaneous) เป็นบทความเกี่ยวกับเรื่องที่ไม่สามารถจัดเข้าในประเภทใด ๆ ข้างต้น เช่น บทแนะนำตำราที่น่าสนใจ

 

การเตรียมต้นฉบับ

               พิมพ์โดยใช้หน้ากระดาษขนาด A4 ใช้ตัวอักษรขนาด 14-16 ตามความเหมาะสม มีเลขหน้ากำกับทุกแผ่นที่มุมขวา ศัพท์ทางการ แพทย์ควรยึดถือตามพจนานุกรมฉบับราชบัณฑิตสถาน หากไม่มีศัพท์บัญญัติในภาษาไทยให้ใช้ทับศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษได้ โดยภาษาอังกฤษที่ปนอยู่ในเนื้อเรื่องภาษาไทยให้ใช้ตัวเล็กทั้งหมด ยกเว้นชื่อเฉพาะ ซึ่งขึ้นต้นด้วยอักษรใหญ่

               ภาษาอังกฤษ ขอให้ผู้นิพนธ์ตรวจสอบความถูกต้องของตัวสะกดและไวยากรณ์ ก่อนส่งต้นฉบับ หากกองบรรณาธิการพบความคลาดเคลื่อนทางภาษามาก จะส่งต้นฉบับนั้นคืนให้ผู้นิพนธ์แก้ไขก่อน ซึ่งจะทำให้ใช้เวลามากขึ้น 

ต้นฉบับจัดตามลำดับและมีรายละเอียดดังต่อไปนี้

1. ใบปะหน้า ประกอบด้วยชื่อเรื่อง ชื่อผู้นิพนธ์ คุณวุฒิสูงสุด และสถาบันของผู้นิพนธ์ทุกคนโดยเขียนทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ และให้ระบุชื่อ ที่อยู่ และหมายเลขโทรศัพท์ หรือ e-mail address ของผู้นิพนธ์ที่รับผิดชอบในการติดต่อกับกองบรรณาธิการ (Corresponding author)

2. บทคัดย่อ ให้เขียนทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ ความยาวไม่เกิน 500 คำ ให้ประกอบด้วยหัวข้อต่อไปนี้ วัตถุประสงค์ วิธีการศึกษา ผลการศึกษา บทวิจารณ์ สรุป และคำสำคัญ (key words; ระบุคำสำคัญ 3-5 คำ)

3. เนื้อเรื่อง สำหรับนิพนธ์ต้นฉบับประกอบด้วย 1) บทนำ 2) วัสดุและวิธีการ 3) ผลการศึกษา 4) วิจารณ์ และ 5) สรุป

4. กิตติกรรมประกาศ (ถ้ามี) สำหรับผู้ให้ความช่วยเหลือ หรือสนับสนุนทุนวิจัย

5. เอกสารอ้างอิง(References) ต้องเป็นภาษาอังกฤษทั้งหมด การอ้างอิงใช้ระบบแวนคูเวอร์ (Vancouver) กำหนดหมายเลขเรียงตามลำดับการอ้างในเนื้อเรื่อง เลขอ้างในเรื่อง (index citation) ให้ใช้เลขอารบิคตัวยก (superscript) ไม่ต้องมีวงเล็บ ชื่อย่อของวารสารใช้ตาม Index Medicus กรณีวารสารที่เป็น non-index Medicus ให้ใส่ชื่อเต็มของวารสารนั้น ตัวอย่างการเขียนเอกสารอ้างอิงดูได้ที่ด้านท้ายบทความ

6. ตารางและรูปภาพ มีตารางและรูปภาพรวมกันไม่เกิน 5 ชิ้น โดยตารางและภาพต้องสามารถอ่านได้เข้าใจในตัวเอง ในกรณีรูปภาพที่ต้องการความชัดเจน ควรส่งไฟล์รูปภาพแยกมาต่างหากโดยใช้รูปแบบไฟล์ที่นิยม เช่น JPEG, TIFF เป็นต้น

     โดยการส่งให้แยกเป็น 2 ไฟล์ โดยไฟล์แรกได้แก่ใบปะหน้า และอีกไฟล์เป็นไฟล์บทความ (ประกอบด้วยข้อ 2-6)

       ถ้าผู้นิพนธ์มีน้อยกว่าหรือเท่ากับ 6 คน ให้ใส่ชื่อผู้นิพนธ์ ทุกคน ถ้ามีมากกว่า 6 คน ให้ใส่ชื่อ 6 คนแรก ตามด้วย et al. สำหรับเอกสารภาษาไทย ให้เขียนเอกสารอ้างอิงเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ โดยใช้นามสกุลขึ้นต้น ตามด้วยอักษรย่อชื่อต้นภาษาอังกฤษ ชื่อเรื่องภาษาอังกฤษ

An instruction for authors

Manuscripts should be carefully enclosed for prompt review and consideration for publication. All manuscripts are subjected to minor editorial revision.

Manuscript Preparation: The original typescript and one high quality copy of the entire manuscript must be submitted, including copies of all illustrations, legends and references. All must be typed single-spaced on A4 paper. Each margin must be at least 1 inch. Generic names for drugs should be used but brand names may be included in parentheses.

Titles: The title must be short, specific and clear. The title page should be typed on a separate sheet and include the full name and academic affiliations of all authors. If the manuscript was presented at a meeting, indicate the name of the organization, the place, and the date on which it was read.

Abstract: Submit abstract in English, which must include a concise statement in not more than 300 words of what was the objectives, methods, results, conclusions and keywords.

Contents: Consists of introduction, material and methods, discussion, suggestion and conclusion in not more than 2,000 words.

   
Illustrations and Tables: Use only illustrations that clarify and augment the text. Submit illustrations in duplicate, unmounted and untrimmed. High contrast glossy-prints (not photocopies) are requested. Original drawing should be profession-ally drawn in black India ink. Type written or freehand lettering is not acceptable. Figure number, name of senior author, and arrow indicating “top” should be typed on a gummed label and affixed to the back of each illustration. All lettering must be legible after reduction to column size. Each table should be typed single - spaced on a separate sheet and should supplement rather than duplicate the text. They should be numbered consecutively as mentioned in the text and each must have a heading. Color illustrations will be published at the author’s expense.

References: Use Vancouver style, references should be listed in consecutive order as they are cited in the text, not alphabetically. Once a reference is cited, all subsequent citations should be to the original number. All reference must be cited in the text or tables. Unpublished data and pers6nal communication may not be listed as reference. Use the form of references and the titles of journals abbreviated according to the style used in Index Medicus. The author is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the references and for their correct test citation.

Manuscript Acceptance: Manuscripts are received with the understanding that they are not under simultaneous consideration by another publication. Accepted manuscripts become the property of the Journal of the Medical Association of Thailand, and may not be published elsewhere without permission from the publisher.
