Study to Develop Pottery Products Showing the Identity of Farmers Group Ban Ma Ying, Nakhon Si Thammarat

Abstract

Pottery’s Ban Ma Ying is a group that produces pottery for a long time. At present, the group has been set up as a Farmers group pottery’s Ban Ma Ying. The pottery of the group has no distinctive characteristics that distinguish it from other areas. Most of the pottery is smooth and striped. The researcher investigated the problem and found ancient civilizations that can be used to convey the identity of the Ban Ma Ying pottery group, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province with observation tools and interviews, it was found that Pottery’s Ban Ma Ying lacked a sense of identity that indicated the characteristics of the group. Especially in terms of patterns that are currently used to create stripes of other areas as well as common cartoon designs. The need for and the ability to use the device to create a pattern together with the production process of the group. And from the area of ​​ancient civilizations in the neighborhood. Found in the ancient artifacts in The ancient temple Mokhalan. It is possible to bring the pattern from the area to create a specific pattern for Pottery’s Ban Ma Ying. By bringing the benefits of traditional products to a greater identity from the historical cultural space. Can be used to replace the original pattern, Pottery’s Ban Ma Ying products are unique and different from other areas.
