Focus and Scope

Thai Food and Drug Journal (TFDJ) is a double blinded peer reviewed journal that belong to Thai Food and Drug Administration, Thailand. It is a journal for the publication of communication in Science and Technology which is established to promote and share new various findings, new innovations, and new various knowledge in the area of health products on people’ health protection.

Subject areas related to the journal’s theme also include: food, drug, cosmetics, medical devices, toxic and hazardous substance, and narcotics.

 

Peer Review Process  

The journal follows a double blinded peer review process. It means that both reviewer and author identities are concealed throughout the review. Firstly, all submitted manuscripts will be initially evaluated by the Editor for suitability to this journal. A plagiarism check will be conducted all articles prior to review. Then, an invitation of a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the article quality. The Editor is responsible for a final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of all manuscripts; the Editor of decision is a final. The peer review process takes around four to eight weeks to complete.

Publication Frequency

TFDJ publishes three issues a year in every four months: (1) January-April, (2) May-August, and (3) September-December, also it has six to ten articles per issue.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides an immediate open access to its content on principle which making research freely available to the public supports greater global exchange of knowledge. A major access its content is on https://he01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/fdajournal/index.

Readers can freely access this journal, download full copies, and shares articles as long as they properly cite, however, they cannot change them or use to commercially.

Authors who published articles on TFDJ can hold copyrights and publishing rights without restrictions.

Journal History

First initiation in 1994 by Thai Food and Drug Administration named FDA Journal, then, it changed the name as Thai Food and Drug Journal in 2019. It is a peer-reviewed and published as a hardcopy that began on Volume 1 Issue 1, then both a hardcopy and online on Volume 26 Issue 1 – Volume 27 Issue 3. The journal is now only published online from Volume 28 Issue 1 (2021) onward that open-access journal. It is indexed or abstracted in Thai Journal Citation Index Center (TCI). The journal is a Thai journal that evaluated by TCI; it is grouped at Tier 2 which actives in 2020-2024.
