Abstract

The objectives of this study are as follow to examine the degree of threats to female adolescents in virtual space interactions and to study the factors that relationship on the degree of threats for female adolescents in virtual space interactions. This study took place in Khon Kaen. It was a qualitative analysis. The interviewing method was used for the data collection. Three hundred seventy seven (377) female students were interviewed, and during the year of 2010 they were studying in the 10th -12th grades. The analysis software program was used to analyze the data—using variable, simple statistics, two data variables, cross tabulation, Chi-Square tests. The research found that 52.5 % of sexual harassment was determined from the use words and was considered as low level. Meanwhile, 29.7 % of female teens in the study were not sexually abused. The number of female teens who were sexually abused was 1.3%, and this percentage was also considered as a low level. The percentage of the girls who were not sexually harassed was 97.1%. The overall percentage of sexual harassment was at a low level of approximately 56.8 %. While the percentage for female teenagers who were not sexually abused was 29.7 %.
