การใช้วารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ของอาจารย์มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น

บทคัดย่อ

การวิจััยเชิงสำรวจนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสภาพการใช้วารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ของอาจารย์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น รวมถึงปัญหาและความต้องการใช้วารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ อาจารย์มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น จำนวน 317 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ แบบสอบถาม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า อาจารย์ส่วนใหญ่เคยใช้วารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่ใช้วารสาร Science Direct มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการใช้เพื่อการทำวิจัย เรียนรู้การใช้วารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ด้วยตนเอง ใช้วิธีเข้าถึงวารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์โดยสืบค้นผ่านเว็บไซต์หอสมุดกลางมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น และสืบค้นด้วยตนเอง อาจารย์ส่วนใหญ่ใช้วิธีดาวน์โหลดวารสารอิเล็กรอนิกส์เพื่อเก็บไว้อ่านในภายหลัง และใช้ข้อมูลในรูปแบบบทความวารสารฉบับเต็ม สถานที่ที่อาจารย์ใช้สืบค้น คือ ที่ทำงาน ภาควิชา หรือคณะ และใช้ระยะเวลามากกว่า 1 ชั่วโมง ในการการสืบค้นวารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ ปัญหาและความต้องการในการใช้วารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ พบว่า อาจารย์ส่วนใหญ่ไม่สามารถเรียกดูเนื้อหาบทความฉบับเต็ม และต้องการให้จัดหาวารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์เพิ่มมากขึ้น ส่วนความคิดเห็นของอาจารย์ต่อบริการวารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ของหอสมุดกลางมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น คือ ควรให้บริการวารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์และวารสารฉบับพิมพ์ควบคู่กัน

Abstract

This survey research aimed to studying the usage of electronic journals of the faculty members of Khon Kaen University as well as use problems and opinion in using electronic journals. The population consisted of 317 faculty members of Khon Kaen University. Questionnaires were used for collecting data. The research finding concluded that most of the faculty members used the electronic journals, most of that used ScienceDirect. The purpose of their use mainly for research, and most of faculty members learned how to used the electronic journals by self-taught. Most of faculty members access the electronic journals through website of the Library and Learning Resources Center, Khon Kaen University, and searched the electronic journals by themselves. Full text were downloading, and most of faculty members used full text. By the place of usage, the faculty members access from their offices, department and faculties, and their used more than one hour for each search. The problems of the use the electronic journals of faculty members were not access the full text. Requirement of the use of the electronic journal of faculty members were increase the electronic journals. The comments of the electronic journals services found that faculty members offer to provide journals in both print and electronic format.
