Abstract

Objectives this  research were: 1. To study the present general condition of the state citizens public market,  2. To study the roles in state citizens market project promotion for the public in Bangkok Metropolitan , 3. To propose the approaches to  improve the roles of monks in state citizens market project promotion for the public in Bangkok Metropolitan.     Methodology as the qualitative research collected data from Key informants and focus group discussion the findings of this study were as follows:     1.The general context of civil market mobilizing in line with CIPP Model. Civil market Policy opened to the public services According to the government policies. Under the cooperation of all related sectors. both in the central and regional area to promote and expand the new market space from the original market space., to support public, farmers, people with low incomes, including other occupations to have more opportunities for commercialization, reduce the operation cost, and expand the market for new merchants to have more places for their product distribution conforming the objectives of the project. The civil market project operation should be successful, effective, and efficient on the basis of ethics, morality, good governance and peoples’ practice according to Buddhist principles in order for the country would be secure and strong all together.  2. The role of the monks in promoting the civil market for the people in Bangkok. According to the Supreme Sangha Council, at present, there is Dhasmma for market project to promote Buddhist principles Application in trade and occupation happily. Monks allocate some areas in monasteries for civil market place to promote people to gain extra income. At the same time there was Buddhist activities promotion for the shops and customers to come to civil market places in order for all people to continue keeping the Buddhism heritage. 3. The monks’ roles development for promoting the civil markets in Bangkok was in 3 areas: 1)  monks should be trained in various areas in order to gain knowledge and information about how civil markets in monasteries should be improved in accordance with Buddhism principles, 2) Monks should be trained in civil market principles so that monks would be participating in civil market systematically 3) there should be training to develop the roles that coincides with objects by study tour, experience exchange with other monasteries or communities that have successful civic market that can be used as a model for the civil market under one’s responsibility
