Abstract

This research is qualitative research, having objective to study about the factors related with behavior on non-repeating amphetamine addiction and process of non-repeating of persons passing rehabilitation of addicts in behavior modification camp by the therapeutic community method. There were 8 samples in the sample group. The research result found that: The most important inner factor was the rehabilitating persons themselves who wanted to cease amphetamine addiction, fear to return to receiving repeating therapy, acknowledging that they were
expectation of family, acknowledging about good result occurring from cessation of repeated amphetamine addiction, requirement to be good models for their children, control of their idea and behavior by themselves, external environment supporting for cessation of repeated amphetamine addiction, for example giving consultancy and listening to problems of public health officials, helping to obstruct returning to repeated amphetamine addiction, for giving and granting second chance by persons in the family or familiar persons, pulling themselves away and reducing relationship of friends in the group of addicts, having activities to follow therapy continuously regulations of therapy process.Process of cessation of repeated amphetamine addiction, it was found that cessations of repeated amphetamine addition occurred from requirement and commitment to cease addiction by themselves, or because treated persons can cease amphetamine addiction finally. Most persons ceasing repeated amphetamine addiction, occurred from meeting with risky situation, for example, stress emotion condition, persuasion from friends and they could refuse addiction. This would prove themselves that they could be prudent and control themselves. It was found that when these persons ceased to addict amphetamine for a certain period, they would feel happy, not doubtful, or anxious to be in hungry symptom for addicting amphetamine. This would allow to know good result of cessation of amphetamine addiction and the persons would decide to be persons who would not addict any longer.
