Abstract

There is no gainsaying from researchers who had business research publication experiences that secondary data has increasingly been being widespread use of utilization data for research. It can help the researchers to enhance a good quality of their research. Nevertheless, the level of enhancement depends upon the ability of researchers in learning and implementing the secondary data utilization. Therefore, this academic article aims to identify how the role of secondary data affects the business research. It proposes the usage of secondary data for qualitative and quantitative research. It also reflects the necessary and the potential of secondary data in supporting and promoting a better quality and reliability of the research. In the latter part of the article, the problems of employing secondary data with respect to the problems of fit and accuracy are incorporated in the article. It is envisaged this article would benefit the researchers and general readers who possess initiative thinking to start doing business research. It also would be of advantage for enterprises or organizations that are confronting with new problems, which emerge from the business competition that became increasingly severe within the world market today.
