Abstract

This research aimed to study factors affecting managerial performance of paper packaging industry in Thailand. Qualitative research was conducted using open-ended interview and critical incident technique. The samples were 10 high level executives who have worked in paper packing industry more than 5 years. The data was analyzed using content analysis to create conceptual framework. The result revealed that most important factors are human resource development, quality management, and leadership. Important factors of human resource development are cooperation, knowledge in printing, learning new knowledge, job observation, and skillful, foreign language, solving facing problems, decision making, and employing the person to fit with the job. . Important factors of quality management are fast-service, be on time, satisfy the need, satisfying, best quality with reasonable price, high-technology, least disadvantage and after-sales service. Important factors of leadership are well-supportive.
