Abstract

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research was to study, to compare and to find the relationship of the SAQ training program affecting the agility and futsal dribbling ability of Higher Education Futsal Player. Twenty male futsal players of Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna Tak were purposively selected to be subjects in this study. They were divided into two groups, each group had ten futsal players. In addition to the regular training program, the experimental group had to undergo course of SAQ training supplementary program for three days per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) while the control group only had retained their regular training program. The total duration of the training was six weeks. The data of agility and futsal dribbling ability in both groups were taken before experiment, after the 2, 4 and 6 weeks. The obtained data were analyzed in term of mean, standard deviation, one-way analysis of variance with repeated measures, multiple comparison by Bonferroni, and correlation and also employed for statistical significantly at .05 level. Research results indicated that: 1) After 2, 4 and 6 weeks of training, the agility in the experimental group was significantly better than the control group at the .05 level. 2) After 2, 4 and 6 weeks of training, the futsal dribbling ability in the experimental group was significantly better than the control group at the .05 level. 3) The agility in the experimental group after 4 and 6 weeks of training was significantly better than the regular training as well as the 6 weeks of training was also significantly better than training after 2 weeks at the .05 level. 4) The futsal dribbling ability in the experimental group after 4 and 6 weeks of training was significantly better than the regular training as well as the 6 weeks of training was also significantly better than training after 2 weeks at the .05 level. 5) Moderate correlation (r = 0.54) was found between agility and futsal dribbling ability of the experimental group after 6 weeks of training.
