Strategy Development of Distance Teaching-learning of Paksan High School Bolikhamxay Province Vientiane Lao P.D.R.

Abstract

ABSTRACT


The objectives of this research were 1) to study the current situation, challenge and the need of distance teaching-learning of Paksan high school Bolikhamxay province Lao P.D.R.    2) to develop strategy of distance teaching-learning of Paksan high school Bolikhamxay province Vientiane Lao P.D.R, and 3) to bring strategy of distance teaching-learning of Paksan high school Bolikhamxay province Lao P.D.R. to be implemented and evaluate the result of implementation by stakeholder participatory process. The implementation of this research was used research and development method by focusing on implementation. 150 people were used as sample groups, consist of deputy director of ICT center ministry of education and sport Lao P.D.R, Director, teachers and students of  Paksan high school Bolikhamxay province Lao P.D.R. Qualitative data analysis was used percentage statistic, average and standard deviation. The finding of results were as follows. More than 90% of teachers have teaching experience more than 5 years. But, most of them lack in the distance teaching experience. The budget to support distance teaching-learning were sufficient. But, it has too many processes. Materials were found standardized and sufficient to manage distance teaching-learning. But, sometime distance teaching-learning were not effective due to internet signal problem. They had very good administration structure. While, rule was used as the administration tools. But, those rule still not effectiveness. Moreover, mechanism and process to monitoring and evaluation not suitable for current situation. The development of strategy process was used internal and external analysis by using SWOT technique. Result of development was releasing vision as “To be effective center of distance teaching-learning, good students to international standard”. Also consist of 6 missions, 4 Strategic issues, 16 Strategies, 14 projects and 16 indexes. The evaluation of all projects result shown that the overall of most projects were satisfied with the highest level.
